Work at the TAMU LSWT is charged at a rate of $6,000 per nine-hour day. Specialized instrument use and additional engineering or fabrication services incur additional cost. Pricing details are listed below. At this operating rate, all operational and data-reduction tasks are completed by the LSWT staff. Customers may choose to attend and observe testing and participate in model installation, as appropriate. While customer attendance is encouraged, it is not necessary or required.

In some circumstances, it is possible to test at a reduced operating cost if the test is suitable for operation by student trainees. Student education is a key mission of the LSWT and, under some circumstances, undergraduate and graduate students who work at the LSWT may lead test operations under the supervision of the LSWT staff. Doing so reduces cost and enables design, fabrication and testing services at reduced rates. Customers who wish to take advantage of student operating rates must have flexible schedules as scheduling preference will be given to other users and student availability varies.
